Capital Industrial Design is based in the UK and run by Ian Ralph who has worked as an industrial designer for the past 18 years.

Ian qualified with a First Class BA(Hons) degree in 1984 and went on to study at The Central School of Art & Design in London where he gained a MA degree with Distinction in Industrial Design (Engineering).

He has since held a number of positions as staff industrial designer and manager within various design and manufacturing companies in the UK and US. These businesses have to a large extent been involved with the design and development of printing, packaging and food process machinery. Ian won a 'reddot' industrial design award for Heidelberg Web Systems in the US during 2003.

Having gained a wealth of experience working within industry, Ian established Capital Industrial Design to provide a design service to capital goods equipment and machinery manufacturers in the UK, Europe, the US and elsewhere.

Ian has a flexible approach to design that takes into account the individual requirements of clients and their products. Most often designs are practical, realistic and appropriate but when necessary and when the opportunity presents itself, they are innovative and creative. Design development is serious, structured and rigorous, and thoroughly thought through in every respect from concept to final detail. Ian enjoys working with people and expects to utilise the benefits that there are to be gained from multi-disciplinary teamwork. He is results and goal oriented, and committed to delivering designs that are competitive, cost effective and progressive for the client.....
